What is in this graduation party printable set?
Four printables that cover the jobs people usually forget until the week of the party. Each one uses the graduate's name, so nothing looks like a generic download. It works for high school, college, middle school or kindergarten graduations, because you type the details yourself.
The set is free, runs in your browser and needs no account. Print on A4 or US Letter, or save a PDF to send to a print shop.
- A party checklist in four stages, from six weeks before to the day itself, with a guest list to tick off.
- Fold-over place cards, four to a page, with each guest's name and "Celebrating" the graduate underneath.
- Advice cards, four to a page, for guests to write their best advice and a wish for the graduate.
- A full-page congratulations sign with the graduate's name, class year and school.
What should be on a graduation party checklist?
The checklist splits the work into four stages so it never feels like one huge list. Six weeks out you set the date, a rough budget and a draft guest list. A month out you send invitations and plan food. The week before you confirm numbers and print the table pieces. On the day you set out the advice card table and the sign.
Each stage has a spare line for your own tasks. Under the checklist is a guest list with a tick box for each name, which doubles as an RSVP tracker. It shows up to 21 names on the page.
- Check the ceremony date first, then pick a party date that does not clash with it.
- Write the guest list and send invitations about a month ahead.
- Tick guests off as they reply so you know your numbers.
- Print the place cards and advice cards once the list is settled.
- Put the sign up and lay everything out an hour before guests arrive.
How do the graduation place cards work?
They are tent cards. Cut around the outside, fold along the dashed line and stand each one up. The guest's name is printed on both halves, so it can be read from either side of the table. Underneath the name, a small line reads "Celebrating" followed by the graduate's name and class year.
Four cards fit on a page. If you leave the guest list empty, you get two pages of blank cards to write on by hand. For a buffet or an open house where people do not sit down, skip the place cards and use the names for the advice cards instead.
How do advice cards for the graduate work?
Advice cards are a simple way to give the graduate something to keep. Each card asks for "My best piece of advice" and "I hope your next chapter brings", with a line for the guest's name at the bottom. Put a stack on a table near the entrance with a few pens and a small box or basket to collect them.
If you have typed a guest list, each card is pre-labelled with one guest's name, so you can hand them out as people arrive. Without a list, you get eight blank cards, and you can print as many copies as you need.
Afterwards, the cards fit neatly in an envelope or a small album. Many graduates read them again when they start their first job or move away from home.
- Give a gentle nudge: younger guests often need an example, such as a favourite study tip.
- Leave a few spare cards for guests who bring a plus one.
- Ask a relative to collect the cards before cake so none go missing.
How big is the congratulations sign?
It fills a whole page: a mortarboard at the top, "Congratulations" in large letters, the graduate's name, "Class of" with the year, and the school name if you add it. Short names print very large, and longer names shrink to fit on the page.
Use it on the front door, the gift table or behind the cake. For a bigger display, many print shops can enlarge a PDF onto poster paper. Save the page as a PDF and ask for the size you want.
When is graduation season in 2027?
There is no single graduation date. In the US most high school and college ceremonies fall between May and June, and some run into July. Schools in other countries follow their own calendars. Check the date with the school before you send invitations.
The countdown on this page runs to the start of May 2027 as a planning point, not as a ceremony date. Set your own party date in the maker and it prints on the checklist.
Printing tips and privacy
Pick A4 or US Letter before printing. Place cards and the sign look best on slightly heavier paper, while the checklist and advice cards are fine on plain paper. The ink saver turns the colour accents grey if you are printing a lot.
The graduate's name and your guest list stay in the link after the # in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server or stored on our side. Bookmark the page to come back and print more advice cards later.
