What are these Father's Day printables?
They are three pages a child can make for their dad, built from what you type. Add your child's name and the name they use for him, whether that is Dad, Daddy, Papa or Pop, and every page uses it. Print them as they are, or let your child finish them with crayons and a pen.
Everything is free and works in your browser with no account. Choose A4 or US Letter, then print or save as a PDF. The set suits young children who need a few prompts to get going, and older kids who want to write more and draw less.
- All about my dad: a fill-in page with a space to draw him and prompts like "He always says".
- A coupon book: eight coupons to a page, with ready-made ideas or your own.
- A fold-up card: one sheet that folds into a card with your message inside.
How does the all about my dad page work?
The page is titled with your child's name and the name they call their dad, so it reads "All about my Papa" if that is what you type. If you add an age, it shows under the title, which is a nice detail when you keep these pages year to year.
There is a box at the top to draw him, then short prompts with lines to write on. The prompts are simple on purpose. Young children can answer with a word or two, or say the answer out loud while a grown-up writes it down. Older children can fill every line.
The answers are often the best part. A child's idea of how old their dad is, or what he always says, tends to be funny and very honest. Date the back of the page and keep it with your other family keepsakes.
- Draw your dad in the box at the top.
- Answer the four short questions beside the drawing.
- Fill in the longer prompts underneath.
- Finish the last box: "I love my dad because".
How do I make a Father's Day coupon book?
Each coupon says "This coupon is good for" followed by a treat, with Dad's name and your child's name at the bottom. Leave the coupon box empty and you get eight ready-made ideas, such as breakfast in bed, one car wash or picking the movie tonight. Type your own ideas, one per line, to replace them. You can add up to 16, which makes two pages.
Cut along the dashed lines, stack the coupons and staple the left edge to make a small book. A hole punch and a piece of ribbon work just as well. If your child is young, keep the promises small and doable, like a hug or a drawing, so the coupons actually get used.
- For little kids: a hug, a drawing, a song, helping water the garden.
- For older kids: washing the car, making a meal, a phone-free walk together.
- From grown-ups: a day out, a round of golf you organise, fixing that thing on his list.
How do I fold the Father's Day card?
The card is a quarter fold, so it prints on one side of a single sheet and needs no glue. The front has a tie, "Happy Father's Day" and his name. Your message goes inside on the right, and the inside left is a blank box for a drawing.
Parts of the page print upside down. That is on purpose: once it is folded, everything faces the right way.
- Print on one side of the paper. Heavier paper or card stock gives a stiffer card.
- Fold the top half back behind the bottom half, so the printing is on the outside.
- Fold it in half again, left to right, so the tie is on the front.
- Open it up and add a drawing on the inside left.
What should I write in a Father's Day card?
Short and specific usually beats long and general. Mention one real thing he does: the school runs, the bedtime stories, the way he fixes bikes or burns pancakes. If a child is writing, let them use their own words, even if the spelling wanders.
If you leave the message box empty, the card prints with ruled lines inside so it can be written by hand. That is often the better choice for a child's card, because the handwriting is part of the gift.
- "Thank you for teaching me to ride my bike."
- "You are the best at building forts."
- "Happy Father's Day to the funniest dad I know."
- "Thank you for always being there, even at 6 am on a Saturday."
When is Father's Day in 2027?
In the United States and the United Kingdom, Father's Day is the third Sunday in June. In 2027 that is Sunday 20 June. Canada uses the same Sunday. Australia and New Zealand celebrate it in September instead, so these pages work for those dates too.
Give yourself a week or two so there is time for drawing and colouring. The pages also work for a grandad, a stepdad, an uncle or anyone who fills that role. Just change the name in the box.
Printing tips and privacy
Choose A4 or US Letter before you print. Plain paper is fine for the all about my dad page and the coupons. For the card, a slightly heavier paper folds more neatly and stands up better. Turn on the ink saver if you are printing several copies.
What you type stays in the link after the # in your browser. It is never sent to a server, so your child's name and message are not stored anywhere on our side. Bookmark the page to come back to the same version next year.
